The Dal Regiment

The Swedish Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. The establishment of the Dal Regiment is part of building Swedish defense capability. Until the regiment is developed to full capacity, including a new regimental area, operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Work methods will change over time to adapt to the growing organization and its operations.

The Workplace

The Logistics Unit in Falun is a unit at the Dal Regiment that supports military units from the operational locations of Falun and Gävle. The unit currently consists of a staff, a technical department, and a supply department. The Logistics Unit contributes to a stronger armed forces through well-functioning logistics, unit-close inventory management, supply provision, and ordering of material maintenance in peace, during readiness increases, and in war. The Swedish Armed Forces, and particularly the Logistics Unit in Falun, are growing in several areas.

Main Responsibilities

In your role as a logistics officer, you will work broadly with various types of logistics and material issues where you independently drive your processes and cases. Common tasks include administration related to the units' material and logistics. The position includes consultative support to our managers in logistics-related matters:

• Participate in staff work, conduct assessments, and provide guidance and documentation both within the unit and other units within the garrison
• Plan and follow up on operations, primarily in the area of supply provision, which includes ammunition, fuel, and personal equipment
• Support LogE during inventory
• Lead material planning at LogE

As the logistics unit is under construction, there are great opportunities to shape future tasks together with the department head.

Qualifications

• Approved secondary education
• Good administrative skills
• Good computer skills
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Previous experience with the Swedish Armed Forces
• Good experience with the Armed Forces' support systems SAP, Prio, and Lift
• Driving license B

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is structured, orderly, flexible, and has a sense of service. You have a good ability to handle sensitive information and can plan and organize your work effectively while following given priorities. You will work in a group, so you need to collaborate well with others and have good camaraderie, but also be able to work independently and take your own initiative. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

• Employment form: Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period
• Working degree: Full-time
• Working hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Mon-Fri. Work may be scheduled outside regular working hours
• Work location: Falun, but work at another location may occur
• Estimated start date: As soon as possible by agreement

The Dal Regiment is one of the Swedish Armed Forces' new-old units with roots dating back to 1625. The regiment was re-established in 2021 following a decision by the parliament. Our operations are located in Falun, and we will contribute to the training of soldiers who build the future infantry units/Army.
