Your tasks

One of our nurses will be on parental leave, and we are now looking for a colleague for a temporary position until January 31, 2027.

As a nurse at Ekbacken Nursing Home, it is important to want to work closely with patients, staff, and relatives to create security for our elderly. We work from a team-oriented approach together with physiotherapists and occupational therapists who are present in the operation. An important part of the work as a nurse is to teach basic care and medical knowledge to the nursing staff, which means that we actively work together with the nursing staff in direct care work.

We are a developing organization with a management team that aims for good care and support. As a nurse, you have a health care responsibility, you support and develop the competencies of the staff groups. You regularly collaborate with doctors from the health center during rounds and in acute situations. In your role, you will develop your mentoring and leadership skills in addition to your medical knowledge in patient care.

You are responsible for monitoring the patient's general condition and lead the medical work by making independent assessments, planning actions, and conducting follow-ups with the patients. If you have knowledge in specific areas, you may lead the work in the operation within palliative care together with our representatives.

Your workplace

Ekbacken Nursing Home is divided into three buildings, A, B, and C, with space for 56 residents. You will have patient responsibility for building A, which has 14 places spread over two floors.

Here at Ekbacken, about 60 nursing assistants and caregivers, three experienced nurses, one physiotherapist, one occupational therapist, two coordinators, and two operations managers work. You have your own office but are close to the entire management team.

You are part of the management team and the quality council. In addition, we have short review meetings to work preventively with deviations. You have specific time to educate at APT according to a special annual schedule where the material is already prepared.

Your working hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Working hours are adjusted for lower employment rates.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse in Sweden. It is an advantage if you have experience working or doing practical training in elderly care. We also consider it an advantage if you have previously worked as a nurse, especially in municipal healthcare, but it is not a requirement.

Since the work involves documentation and contact with patients and relatives, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. You also need to have experience with some documentation system.

As a person, you work well with others, listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. Furthermore, you have the ability to lead and coordinate work by creating engagement and participation. You also have an understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and can therefore adapt how you convey information to achieve common goals.

You can plan, organize, and prioritize your work and find it easy to adapt to changing circumstances. You make correct assessments and have the ability to weigh complex information and different types of considerations.
