At department B191, we primarily care for patients with cancer in the abdominal organs undergoing planned surgery or examinations as part of a cancer investigation.
On the ward, we have a strong focus on teamwork, where the patient is central. As a nurse in department B191, building relationships with patients is essential to providing good care and addressing each individual's needs.
Our Offer
To create a sense of security in the work, there is a well-developed orientation program. As a newly hired nurse, you will have six weeks of clinical orientation as well as theoretical orientation days with lectures and practical moments. Throughout the first year, scheduled professional meetings are held with new colleagues led by specialist nurses, as well as allocated time for in-depth study in surgery. We have several support functions such as clinical specialist nurses, pharmacists, and care coordinators. On the ward, there are experienced colleagues available to assist with assessments, prioritizations, and decisions. The environment is open, and we all want to help each other develop and provide the best care for patients.
At B191, we value a good work environment and professional development highly. We believe in small care teams where you as a nurse have the opportunity to work person-centered alongside experienced colleagues. We have frequent internal training, and our specialist nurses invite to team rounds focusing on interdisciplinary collaboration around the patient. At the clinic, we are keen that you as a nurse have the opportunity for career development, for example, through the possibility of further studies to become a specialist nurse in surgical care during paid working hours.
