The radiology department in Mora operates 24/7, performing urgent and scheduled examinations in ultrasound, computed tomography, conventional radiography, and magnetic resonance imaging. Here, over 60 employees with various professions work, so you will have a group of happy, competent, and engaged colleagues.

Temporary position for Nursing Assistant at the Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine in Mora Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in radiology, you are the radiographer's extended arm in the work. You work closely together in a team to provide the best possible care and results for the patient. Your role is to be close to the patient, inform, and create security before and during the examination while the radiographer handles the equipment. You are attentive to the patient's needs and are responsible for ensuring that both the patient and the examination room are well prepared for upcoming examinations.

You will also work in an environment with constant technical development, which means that the work is both stimulating and varied.

Requirements:

• Nursing assistant education from the health and care program, or vocational package in health and care from adult education
• Diploma from the Health and Care College
• Protected professional title as a nursing assistant (certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare) - see info below

Meritorious:

• Specialization in emergency care and medicine
• Experience from working in a radiology department
• Specialist nursing assistant education

Information about the professional title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in health and care.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, this means that the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. Those who had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplace/employer after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected professional title to use the title nursing assistant.
