Torekällberget is the museum of Södertälje municipality and an established destination for both locals and long-distance guests. Here, cultural history, living environments, and everyday life from the past come together in a whole that engages over 100,000 visitors annually.
Café Lindbloms is a central part of the overall experience of the place. Our goal is for the café to be a natural reason to visit, a place that people remember, return to, and recommend. Here, we want to both preserve and develop Swedish coffee and food culture, focusing on craftsmanship, ingredients, and taste experiences that are characteristic of the place. The menu primarily consists of a coffee-cake-sandwich concept, with some simpler lunch dishes. There are also coffee breaks and lunches for booked groups. Your tasks

In preparation for the summer, we are looking for café hosts for Torekällberget. We are looking for someone who wants to be present and contribute to a pleasant and memorable experience for our visitors. Your workplace is primarily Lindbloms café, located in the city block of Torekällberget.

- You prepare the sales area and dining room for service before opening.
- You welcome and serve our guests, take orders, and handle the cash register.
- You keep the sales area and dining room clean and organized.
The extent of the positions varies between approximately 30-85%, and we are looking for staff who can work the entire or parts of the period from May to September. We prefer that you can work at least 6 consecutive weeks. Weekend work is included. We provide work clothes.
 

Who are you?

To thrive as a café host with us, you need to enjoy working with people and understand the importance of good service and a warm welcome. We believe you have previous experience from similar work, e.g., café, restaurant, or retail.

- You enjoy collaborating with colleagues but can also take responsibility, initiative, and work independently to welcome visitors.
- You are service-oriented and communicative, have drive, and a high level of ambition.
- You have an eye for what needs to be done and have a good ability to meet people of all ages in a responsive and friendly manner.
- Your ability to provide excellent hospitality is of great importance, and personal suitability will weigh heavily in the recruitment process.

Requirements:
- To be considered for the position, you must be at least 18 years old.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
- You have experience working in a café, restaurant, or retail.

Meritorious:
- Education in restaurant/food.
- Knowledge of additional languages besides Swedish and English.
- Experience working at tourist destinations, museums, or other cultural historical environments.
