Day 8 AB is looking for a highly experienced Yacht Chef with a documented, niche background from larger sailing yachts, combined with a strong ability to lead, structure, and train crew before and during sailing events.

The role requires you to have experience in managing and coordinating larger deliveries at a fast pace – not just cooking on board. You should be able to take overall responsibility for culinary quality, provisioning, and operational logistics, as well as drive standardized working methods (SOPs), checklists, and routines that others can follow.

In practice, this means you can:

lead and coordinate multiple chefs/crew simultaneously (e.g., during academy, pre-season, and event periods)
plan and execute provisioning and galley logistics with high precision
establish and improve SOPs, training programs, and quality controls
ensure a consistent level of food, hygiene, service, and delivery – even when conditions change rapidly
