Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced chef with a sense of quality. You know how to make a real Wallenbergare and would never think of buying pre-breaded fish, but at the same time, you are not intimidated by making 120 portions with the same quality.

You can plate beautifully and elevate your buffet lunch to top class. With us, the day can start with a porridge breakfast and end with a royal dinner!

You are a creative chef with roots in traditional Swedish cuisine but enjoy creating flavor experiences from all corners of the world.

The role also includes daily work with self-control, having good knowledge of allergens, and being able to account for all ingredients, ordering and receiving goods, as well as waste management. You will also assist in menu planning and inventory.

About Military Restaurant Kavalleristen K1

Military Restaurant Kavalleristen K1 is located on the Armed Forces area at Lidingövägen 28 in Stockholm. The restaurant is responsible for meeting the Armed Forces' need for good and well-prepared food. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening meals, 365 days a year. We provide catering to the Exhibition Restaurant, where we also have our banquet hall, in fantastic premises.

Working hours are varied, with evenings and weekends occurring regularly.

Since we operate within a protected area, a background check and confidentiality certificate are required. The background check must be without remarks, and you must be a Swedish citizen as the operations are conducted within a military area.

Who are you?

• You have education in hotel and restaurant management with a focus on cooking or equivalent.
• You have a couple of years of experience as a chef.
• You have the ability to plan and structure work effectively.
• You take responsibility through your passion to maintain a high level of service and quality in what you deliver.
• You see your significance in satisfied guests, are positive, stress-resistant, and have an easy time collaborating and communicating.
• You can take initiative and are flexible in your professional role.
• You speak and write Swedish.
• Experience with menu planning systems is a plus.
