Experienced Site Manager with a focus on earthworks sought for infrastructure project

We are now looking for an experienced site manager with a focus on earthworks for a large and technically complex infrastructure project in the Stockholm area. The role suits you who have good leadership skills, work in a structured manner, and have the ability to drive earthworks and construction work forward in close collaboration with contractors and clients.

About the position

As a SITE MANAGER for EARTHWORKS, you will be an important part of the project organization with responsibility for monitoring and controlling earthworks during the project's implementation phase. You thrive in an operational role close to production and are solution-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and progress.

Your responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and leading the contractor's earthworks and construction work
• Ensuring that the work is performed according to contracts, technical documents, schedules, and quality
• Participating in production technical and contractual discussions with the contractor
• Interpreting and applying contract documents, AMA Construction, and AB04/ABT06
• Identifying and managing deviations, changes, and additional work
• Working with documentation, monitoring, schedules, and financial data
• Contributing to good collaboration within the project organization and with other site managers

The role requires a good understanding of earthworks within larger infrastructure projects and the ability to work in a structured manner in a complex project environment.

Project information:

• Client: Government infrastructure authority
• Location: Huddinge
• Project scope: approximately 1.3 billion SEK
• Construction time: approximately 4 years
• Project start: about 6 months
• Contract form: Total contract (with ongoing dialogue about execution contract with elements of total contract)

The project includes, among other things:

• Two interchanges with bridges over existing railway
• Ramps for access and exit
• Complex rock excavation in close proximity to railway
• Approximately 200,000 m³ rock excavation
• Sheet piling, piling, and extensive earthworks and foundation work

Who are you?

For the role of SITE MANAGER for EARTHWORKS, we see that you have:

• At least 3 years of experience as a site manager in infrastructure
• At least 3 years of experience as a site manager, production manager, or section manager responsible for construction projects over 30 million SEK
• Experience in a leading position in construction projects over 50 million SEK is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction, or equivalent, or that you have worked your way up to equivalent competence through experience
• Good knowledge of contract law and regulations such as AMA Construction, AB04, and ABT06
• Documented BAS-P/U training
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word and Excel)
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
