We are looking for construction managers, including senior construction managers, for a public entity responsible for traffic and urban environment.

This is a multi-year consulting assignment based in Stockholm.

The workload varies over time depending on the different phases of the project: from part-time at the beginning and end of the project to full-time during periods of high activity.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Construction managers and senior construction managers are responsible for the construction management of projects within traffic and urban environment in central Stockholm. The role includes support during the design and contracting phases, review of drawings and technical solutions, as well as coordination with contractors and other stakeholders. The workload varies over time, from part-time to full-time depending on the project's phase.

Responsibilities

Assist the organization with specialized expertise in production issues

Assist in the preparation of the AF part for the tender documents

Review of the design with a technical focus

Overall responsibility for ensuring that the execution of the contractor's work follows the applicable working documents

Lead, call for, and document construction meetings and any coordination meetings every other week

Review, follow up, and control the contractor's work on-site including verification of self-checks

Review and control of changes and the contractor's diary

Follow up on schedules

Participate in the follow-up of the contractor's work environment, environmental, and quality work

Review of financial documentation and monthly reports

Answer questions/notifications in consultation with the construction project manager

Represent the project towards contractors, external contacts, and third parties

Participate in inspections and surveys and ensure that these are carried out

Participate in risk management work

Ensure that final documentation and materials for as-built documents are produced

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Concrete class 1

Education:

Senior construction managers and construction managers must have completed the following courses/training:

Contract Law: General Terms AB 04 and ABT 06

Contract Law: General Terms for Consultants ABK 09

AMA Construction (AMA20 or AMA23)

MER Construction (MER20 or MER23)

AMA AF 21 or AMA AF 12

Traffic arrangements and earthworks in public land (must be valid)

Construction Work Environment Coordination basic course for BAS-P and BAS-U

If the training/course is older and does not meet the stated requirements, these courses can be supplemented afterwards.

Experience

Senior construction managers must also have worked for at least 15 years in earthworks, road, and utility construction, as a construction manager or at least 7 years as a construction manager if this is supplemented with 8 years as a contractor in a supervisory position.
