Today, about 320 people work in our department, and we operate on behalf of the technical committee, the environmental and building permit committee, and the municipal executive office. Our mission is important, and together we create the future of Järfälla – a place for everyone.

Within the water and wastewater unit, there are 12 employees, part of the water and waste department with a total of 20 employees.

Together, we manage the existing water and wastewater pipeline network and provide expertise in planning and development issues. The department is responsible for investigating and planning the need for operational and renewal measures. We lead our own investment projects and serve as a resource for technical support, review, and ensure good water and wastewater solutions in planning and development projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The work mainly involves investigating and planning measures for the renewal of the municipality's existing pipeline network. You will be the commissioner of renewal measures and follow up on both quality and economy. The work also includes planning for both new and reinvestments for a time period of 1-10 years together with colleagues.

Other tasks include serving as technical support in development projects and safeguarding the interests of the water and wastewater authority in various contexts and collaborations.

Depending on skills and interests, other tasks may also be relevant, e.g., project management of water and wastewater in internal projects, assisting in modeling work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in civil engineering with a focus on water and wastewater or construction technology, or equivalent education, e.g., vocational college. You should have worked in the water and wastewater field for at least 2 years, preferably with a focus on the renewal of water and wastewater networks.

We seek someone with a positive outlook. As a person, you are unpretentious, responsive, and self-driven, work systematically, and thrive in a team. You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Meritorious

• Experience in the renewal of water and wastewater networks
• Experience with the system tool VA-banken
• Project management within water and wastewater
• Knowledge of development projects and municipal management
