We are looking for a Project Manager for the Reconstruction project Henriksdal – Saltsjö-Järla. Group Saltsjöbanan for an authority within traffic.

This is a multi-year consulting assignment. The stationing location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of project manager within the Saltsjöbanan Program involves responsibility for leading and driving railway projects through the entire project lifecycle – from planning and design to implementation, handover, and traffic start. The role includes both strategic and operational tasks and involves close collaboration with the project organization, internal functions, and external suppliers, focusing on ensuring time, cost, content, and quality while creating a well-functioning and inclusive project culture.

Responsibilities

Lead the project through the planning, implementation, and handover phases according to the established time and resource plan.

Develop system documents as well as construction documents and tender documents and support the procurement leader during procurement and bid evaluation.

Lead the project through the contract phase, inspection, and handover to the client/administrator.

Ensure that time, cost, and content (TKI) are maintained according to the implementation decision.

Ensure that the project is staffed according to needs and workload in all phases.

Follow established processes, project and program manuals, and main process maps.

Be responsible for risk management by continuously identifying, analyzing, and managing risks.

Develop, manage, and follow up contracts.

Ensure clear decision-making paths and clarify expectations for deliveries within the project.

Report project status and prepare decision materials for portfolio management, project manager, and sponsor.

Act as a role model for the organization's values, goals, and client role and contribute to a good project culture.

Be receptive to different perspectives, opinions, and ideas within the project group.

Prepare, lead, and follow up meetings and workshops within the project.

Communicate and collaborate with the project's stakeholders, including project members, suppliers, and other affected parties within the program.

Work on continuous improvements of the project's internal routines and revise governing documents such as project plans as needed.

Be responsible for monthly forecasting and outcome reporting.

Requirements (Mandatory)

At least 9 years of combined experience in roles as lead project manager/project manager for construction projects.

A university degree or higher in civil engineering or equivalent competence/experience through working in rail traffic for 9 years in various roles such as (in no particular order) construction manager, technical project manager, design manager, designer, site manager, project manager.

At least 9 years of experience as a project manager with project management processes of type PMI, XLPM, or other equivalent project management processes.

As a project manager, have completed at least two projects with procurement according to LOU/LUF for design, construction contracts, and inspections.

Training in BAS P/U.

Completed training in construction law (AB04, ABT06, ABK09).

Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.

Good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.

Desirable

At least five (5) years of experience as a project manager in a construction project in densely built areas in direct connection with other activities during ongoing construction that requires coordination (e.g., roads, bridges, buses, third parties, etc.).

Experience in monitoring construction contracts with a contract value of at least 300 million SEK in at least one (1) project.

At least 4 years of experience working with BEST construction projects in a leading position.

Experience in at least one (1) collaborative project within design or production (e.g., collaboration with another client, with more than one client, or with a contractor).
