As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a crucial societal role in protecting and monitoring security objects according to the Protection Act.

The task of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist crimes, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, refuse entry, and detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are activities that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Working hours: Varying hours day and night

Duration: June-August with the possibility of on-call employment before and after summer 2026

Job responsibilities: As a security guard, you will work in various environments with varying tasks such as staffing entrance receptions, ensuring that no unauthorized persons gain access to the security object, as well as stationary and patrolling surveillance. This includes both armed and unarmed services.

Characteristics we are looking for: You want to work in a role that creates safety and have a natural ability to combine service with a pronounced security mindset. You are meticulous and structured in your work approach as there may be some administrative tasks in the role. We are looking for security-conscious and service-oriented employees with inner security, maturity, and a natural drive to help. Great emphasis is placed on communication and collaboration skills as this role involves a lot of contact with customers, contractors, and visitors. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit for the role. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. You have a positive attitude towards your work and the ability to spread positive energy in a team.

Requirements for applicants:

• In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various roles, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:
• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
• Driver's license B

You also need to be unpunished*, drug-free, have a stable economy, and good health and fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Preferred qualifications:

• Guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• Weapon training
• Previous experience in a service role
• Civil security guard training (or military security guard training**, completed from 2020 or later)

If you have a security guard training from the armed forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civil security guard.
