Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Test Engineer to strengthen an automotive embedded software team with a focus on software quality, validation, and test automation. You will take ownership of test planning, execution, and automation to secure reliable software deliveries in a safety- and process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test documentation (test plans, test cases, test scripts) aligned with SWE.6 SW Qualification Test.
• Set up and configure test environments to mirror real-world conditions.
• Execute manual and automated tests and document findings in a structured way.
• Develop and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks/scripts for ECU validation.
• Perform regression testing and support continuous integration of new changes.
• Identify, track, and prioritize defects using defect tracking tools.
• Analyze test results, report progress/metrics, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Perform root-cause analysis and propose preventive actions.
• Ensure requirements traceability and compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 26262, ASPICE).
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and improve testability.

Requirements

• Senior experience in SW test development within embedded/automotive context.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python-based test automation for ECU validation.
• Experience with HIL and/or SIL testing.
• Proven ability in test case specification, execution, and reporting.
• Solid understanding of requirements-based testing and traceability.
• Strong communication skills in a cross-functional setup.

Preferred Qualifications

• HIL testing in Vector-based systems (e.g. CANoe).
• CANoe and/or CAPL scripting experience.
• Experience with HV systems and/or powertrain systems.
• Knowledge of XCP, ETK, VX1000.
• Electrical engineering background combined with strong programming skills (Python).
