Professional Galaxy is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer – CI/CD & DevOps on behalf of our client.

Our client in the defense and security industry is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer for an organization responsible for Software Excellence and Information Assurance. The assignment involves overall responsibility for further developing, managing, and driving a secure and robust DevSecOps environment that supports efficient and quality-assured software delivery throughout the development lifecycle.

The role is central to ensuring that CI/CD solutions, platforms, and methodologies meet high demands for security, availability, and stability in complex and security-critical environments.

Responsibilities

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Developing, maintaining, and further developing the client's software factory and CI/CD platforms Designing and implementing build, test, and deployment pipelines in collaboration with R&D teams Automating workflows for build, test, and deployment Monitoring systems and proactively identifying and addressing issues related to performance, stability, and availability Participating in and, if necessary, leading incident management and conducting root cause analyses Ensuring high operational reliability through ongoing maintenance, patching, and optimization Contributing to improved scalability, robustness, and security through the introduction of new tools and technologies Participating in continuous improvement initiatives for processes and methodologies Operating and managing systems in multiple customer and project environments

Qualifications Academic degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent relevant education Several years of documented experience working in DevSecOps and DevOps environments Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, or equivalent Very good knowledge of Linux-based systems and infrastructure operations Experience with scripting and programming, e.g., Bash, Python, Java, or Go Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible) Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated configuration and environment management Experience operating larger systems in production environments with high demands for availability and stability

Good understanding of incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis Good communication and collaboration skills

Security Requirements Swedish citizenship is required The assignment is security classified and requires the consultant to undergo and be approved in a security clearance according to applicable legislation

Personal Attributes The consultant is expected to work in a structured and independent manner, have good problem-solving skills, and be able to handle technically complex and sometimes high-pressure situations. The ability to collaborate with various functions and roles within the organization is of great importance.
