We are now strengthening our department Omexom Backup Power with an Electrical Designer.

Omexom Backup Power specializes in solutions for secure power supply and works on projects that ensure operational reliability for critical societal functions. We offer expertise in backup power units (10–3000 kVA), switchgear, network control systems, and automation. We deliver from design and construction to commissioning, service, and modernization of both stationary and mobile backup power facilities. Additionally, we have developed our own control system, EGC, which is used for control and monitoring. The system supports communication via Modbus, modem, internet, and SMS in case of alarms, providing high reliability and rapid response.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an electrical designer, you will be responsible for ensuring that backup power systems are designed according to technical specifications with quality.

• Design and planning of backup power systems and backup power units.

• Development of electrical diagrams, automation solutions, and control systems using CAD tools.

• Dimensioning of cabling, components, and protective equipment.

• Energy and power calculations.

• Support technicians with technical information during commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems.

• Collaboration with project managers, suppliers, and customers to develop pricing documentation and ensure requirements and standards.

The position as a designer is a permanent employment with immediate start. You will report to the Group Manager, and the location is Sundsvall or Örnsköldsvik.

YOUR PROFILE You have several years of experience in electrical design in areas such as power systems, backup power, switchgear, and automation. You are well-versed in the Office suite and ELPROCAD, and you have a degree in electrical power engineering or equivalent. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and hold a B driver's license.

As a person, you are meticulous and structured, with a keen eye for detail and quality. You are a problem solver who enjoys analyzing and finding smart solutions when challenges arise. You are communicative and collaborative, which makes you thrive in team environments and enjoy interacting with customers. You are flexible and proactive, ready to handle changes and take initiative when needed. Additionally, you have a keen interest in technology and like to stay updated to develop your skills.
