We are now looking for a quality engineer on behalf of our client who wants to be part of an exciting journey in the defense industry. As a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work very independently within your area of responsibility. You will have many points of contact, primarily with suppliers in Sweden and Europe.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be a key person in ensuring that suppliers meet high quality standards. You will work closely with both internal and external parties to investigate quality deviations, drive improvement efforts, and follow up on actions. You will also collaborate internally with engineering, purchasing, SQM, and production.

Your main tasks will include:

• Investigating quality issues and deviations in the supplier chain
• Applying temporary measures
• Leading and following up 8D investigations or similar structured problem-solving methods
• Deciding on corrective actions
• Driving suppliers to conduct root cause investigations
• Collaborating with purchasing, production, and engineering to ensure the right quality
• Documenting and reporting quality status
• Participating in improvement work

The position also includes rapid investigations when a major deviation has occurred. This means, among other things, that together with an investigation group, you will gather facts, request and evaluate quality and deviation reports from suppliers, and check inventory to quickly address the problem and find an appropriate solution.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has education in quality assurance, quality control, or similar
• Has at least 3 years of experience in quality work within the manufacturing industry, preferably defense or another regulated sector
• Is structured, analytical, and has good problem-solving skills
• Has good knowledge of 8D methodology or similar tools for root cause analysis
• Communicates clearly and collaborates easily

Meritorious: Experience with SAP or similar business systems.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved in a security clearance, in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement for this position.
