Göteborgs Spårvägar plays a crucial role in the everyday life of the city.

Every day, thousands of people travel by tram, and behind each journey is extensive work to ensure that the infrastructure is safe, reliable, and sustainable.

We are facing several large and exciting maintenance projects in 2026 and are therefore looking for an engaged project manager who wants to take overall responsibility and make a real difference.

About the Job

As a project manager, you will work on behalf of both internal and external clients. You have overall responsibility for ensuring that projects are carried out according to plan, budget, agreements, and applicable legal requirements. You lead projects in close collaboration with production and maintenance managers and ensure that work is driven forward in a structured, efficient, and professional manner.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate projects from planning to implementation
• Ensure that projects meet established goals regarding time, cost, quality, and safety
• Collaborate with internal and external clients as well as other stakeholders
• Contribute to good cooperation and an engaged project team

About You

We are looking for a structured and confident leader with good social skills and a communicative leadership style. You see the big picture, take responsibility, and make well-founded decisions.

You have experience in assignment and/or project management within construction activities, such as roads, railways, or trams. The role requires you to work independently, be organized, and maintain a professional approach even in complex situations.

As a person, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and thrive in a changing environment. You collaborate easily with others, are positive and engaged, and contribute to a good work climate. In this role, you create engagement within the team and work purposefully towards common results.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Requirements for the Position:

• High school diploma, preferably with a technical focus
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Post-secondary education in engineering/construction or equivalent experience
• Documented experience in leading projects or assignments within construction activities (tram, railway, or road)
• Good IT skills
• Driver's license category B
• Meet health requirements according to TSFS 2019:113

Meritorious:

• Technical competence in tram, railway, and/or road.
• Experience in planning, driving, and following up projects regarding time, cost, and quality
• Experience in procurement and contract law (AMA, AB 04)
• Knowledge of relevant laws, permitting processes, and building standards

Our proposed salary range for the position is 40,000 SEK to 50,000 SEK. The final salary depends on how well the established requirements for the position are met.
