Job Responsibilities

Do you have experience in construction and civil engineering and are looking for a versatile role with many points of contact? Then the role of construction manager might be for you!

As a construction manager with us, you will encounter a varied everyday life with many collaborative areas.

You will belong to a department that works with investigating, designing, and executing work on utility networks, water treatment plants, pumping stations, and other facilities. As a construction manager, you will drive various contracts within the water and sewage sector, and the assignments can range from simpler pipeline expansions to complex pumping station and water treatment plant projects. The role will be adapted based on both the needs of the business and your own interests, but overall you will:

• Lead construction and technical meetings
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders in the contract
• Conduct ongoing construction inspections
• Manage financial follow-up and change order handling
• Act as an advisor during procurement and design

Collaboration is an important success factor, and in your role, you will work with both project operations and operational activities. In addition to support from your immediate manager, you will have assistance from your team, which consists of several construction managers and a specialist. Within the team, there is many years of expertise, and we are keen to help each other where needed.

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you need:

• A university degree in civil engineering or equivalent, or relevant work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Several years of work experience in earth and construction projects in roles such as construction manager, site manager, contract engineer, or foreman.
• Good knowledge of AMA/MER construction
• Driver's license (B)
• Good knowledge of construction work environment, such as BAS P/U
• Basic training/knowledge in contract law

It is advantageous if you have experience in inspecting contracts or industry-specific diploma programs; for example, inspector training PE, AMA house, and Concrete class 1/2, trenchless methods, or similar.

• Structured: You will work on several contracts simultaneously, which requires your ability to structure your work time and drive your contracts forward.
• Independent: You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without relying on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward.
• Flexible: It is also important that you can act flexibly and change your planning based on the different phases and priorities of the contracts.

Conditions

The position is security classified and requires Swedish citizenship and a passed security check, which includes, among other things, a background check via SÄPO and a passed alcohol and drug test.
