Summer Job - Visualization of Material Handling in Track Replacement Projects Job Responsibilities

Material handling, the management of soil and rock materials, is an important part of many of the Swedish Transport Administration's projects. To work as resource-efficiently as possible, it is important to understand how materials can be handled at an early stage. Calculation and visualization of material handling in track replacement projects is a developing work method that requires additional documentation. The work involves creating manuals and checklists to standardize and streamline work processes in material handling. The focus of this summer job is on track replacement projects, making it important to have understanding and experience in this area.

Location for the summer job is Gothenburg.

Who are you?

As a person, you are solution-oriented and have the ability to understand various tasks and resolve situations that arise. You have good collaboration skills, are engaged, and perform your tasks reliably. You are motivated by active participation, taking responsibility for your tasks while being aware of how you are part of and contribute to the whole by collaborating with others.

We are looking for someone who has

  • a current university education in Civil Engineering with at least 7 semesters completed, or has completed the education in 2024 or later
  • previous work experience from track replacement projects
  • previous work experience in material handling in infrastructure projects
  • a valid driver's license for passenger cars
  • good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
