Your workplace - an authority that develops and grows

Fortificationsverket is divided into six regions, each with a technical unit. The technical unit in Region West consists of 14 employees and is spread across the locations of Såtenäs, Skövde, and Karlsborg. The position of Property Engineer is based in Karlsborg. The technical unit is a technical support function and primarily manages maintenance projects on buildings, land, and infrastructure systems. We are a well-functioning workgroup with high capacity and a strong customer focus. The role of the technical unit is growing every year and requires more comprehensive management assignments, acting as a support function for the management and investment unit in various projects and matters.

As a Property Engineer, you will primarily work with:

• carrying out contracts in a project-oriented manner
• conducting status inspections and performing maintenance planning
• coordinating operational adjustments for our client
• coordinating property documentation
• conducting cost calculations and packaging investment projects
• participating in the procurement of consultants and contractors

The work includes travel within the region.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a completed high school education. You have professional experience and knowledge in land and construction or in the contracting and property sector, such as water, heating, or electricity. You are computer literate and have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. A Class B driver's license is required as well as Swedish citizenship.

It is advantageous if you have a high school or university education in land and construction, or in building, heating, electricity, or complementary training. If you have professional experience as a project manager, construction worker, or engineer in land and construction contracts or in the property sector, it is to your advantage.

Your personal qualities are very important to us, and we will place great emphasis on personal suitability, where an important part is that you are safety-conscious. Our operations focus on safety, and we are therefore looking for someone who is structured, orderly, and responsible while also being flexible as our environment is changeable. You also need to be solution-oriented, driven, and proactive, as well as having excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. You are a team player and have a customer-oriented approach as the role involves many points of contact where it is important to build good relationships.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Karlsborg. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security check with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
