Fortifikationsverket is divided into six regions, each with a technical unit. The technical unit in Region West consists of 14 employees and is spread across the locations of Såtenäs, Skövde, and Karlsborg. The position of property engineer is based in Såtenäs. We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of our team and work at one of Sweden's most exciting workplaces while contributing to a robust society and a safer world. The technical unit is a technical support function and primarily leads maintenance projects on buildings, land, and infrastructure systems. We are a well-functioning workgroup with high capacity and a strong customer focus. The role of the technical unit is growing every year and requires more comprehensive management assignments and acts as a support function for the management and investment unit in various projects and matters.

Job Responsibilities

As a property engineer, you will primarily work with:

• implementing contracts in a project-oriented manner
• conducting status inspections and performing maintenance planning
• coordinating operational adjustments for our clients
• coordinating property documentation
• conducting cost calculations and packaging investment projects
• participating in the procurement of consultants and contractors

The job includes travel within the region.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a completed high school education in contracting such as construction, HVAC, electrical, land & civil engineering, or other equivalent education. You should have professional experience and knowledge in contracting. You need to have good computer skills and excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A class B driver's license is required, as well as Swedish citizenship.

It is an advantage if you have training as a project manager or engineer in the contracting or property industry. It is also advantageous if you have professional experience as a project manager or engineer in the contracting and property sectors.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. The work location is Såtenäs. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security check with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
