Welcome to us

Högdalen's nursing and care home is a municipal elderly care facility in one of Stockholm's academic nodes.

An academic node is a unit that helps drive the development of elderly care in Stockholm. Here, there are a total of 140 apartments, divided into 68 somatic and 50 dementia places, as well as 18 short-term places and 4 respite care places. We work based on a person-centered approach where the focus is on health, well-being, and quality of life.

As a nurse with us in special housing for the elderly, you are an important part of our work to actively contribute to ensuring that residents feel safe, seen, involved, appreciated, and important. We base our work on a salutogenic approach focusing on creating a sense of coherence for both residents and employees.

Your role

In the role of nurse in our somatic department, you work as the nursing responsible nurse (OAS). This means that you have overall responsibility for the care and ensure that health and medical care is provided with high quality and good patient safety. The focus of health and medical care should be health-promoting and person-centered, with a cross-professional and process-oriented approach. You lead and distribute the nursing work in the department for which you are responsible. This involves close collaboration with basic staff, rehabilitation managers, unit managers, operations managers, and MAS (Medically Responsible Nurse).

Supporting and mentoring colleagues, students, and pupils is also part of our work to ensure the competence of our operations.

In addition to the daily work in the department, the nursing responsible nurse (OAS) is responsible for the cross-professional team meetings that occur regularly. These meetings provide space for deepening knowledge and exchanging experiences between professions.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a licensed nurse with proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare and several years of experience in the profession.
  • Has at least 1 year of experience working in elderly care facilities.
  • Has very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as this requires extensive communication with residents, documentation, and collaboration with internal and external parties.

It is also meritorious if you have:

  • Supervisor training 7.5 Hp.
  • Experience with the documentation system Vodok 2.0/ICF.
  • Experience working with quality registers in elderly care.
  • Specialist nurse in Elderly Care.
  • Specialist nurse in palliative care.
  • Other specialization relevant to the assignment.

Daytime work where you work 2 out of 6 weekends.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes, in the City of Stockholm, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue. About the recruitment process
