Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to take care of our elderly and add a golden touch to their daily lives. The work involves taking care of the users and carrying out care and nursing interventions based on their needs. Daily tasks vary from day to day with a focus on helping the elderly with personal care such as hygiene, meals, social activities, and administering medication under the delegation of a nurse.

The job involves being part of a team where collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. You will perform tasks under the delegation of the responsible nurse and also have contact with relatives. The position includes work during the day, evening, or night according to a schedule.

We are looking for you who are interested in working as a casual employee (substitute), monthly substitute (with the possibility to start already in spring on a fixed schedule), and/or summer substitute (monthly employed during the summer period).

Before your employment, you will of course receive an introduction, shorter training, and shadow regular staff to feel secure in your role and develop in your position. You will learn techniques for transferring a person using various aids. You will learn thorough nursing and how to interact with the elderly, as well as take a course so that you can administer medications to the elderly under the delegation of a nurse.

Working Hours:

• Day shift - 06:40 with end times varying between 13:00-15:30
• Evening shift - 13:00/13:30/14:00/15:00 with end times varying between 20:00-22:30
• Night - 21:45-06:45

Monthly Substitute – weekends and extra compensation

We do not have split shifts and our schedule periods are 6 weeks. As a monthly substitute (spring or summer), you will always work every other weekend (3 out of 6). Would you like to work more weekends? Each extra shift gives 1,000 SEK gross, and you can take a maximum of 4 extra shifts per schedule period. Please note: this applies only to monthly substitutes, not casual employees.

Qualifications

It is not a requirement, but it is an advantage if you have ongoing or completed upper secondary or post-secondary education in health and care. Previous work experience in the field is also an advantage.

Good to Know

For the position, it is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at level B1 according to the Council of Europe’s standards before the interview. Please note that the process will be interrupted if the language test is not passed. You will need to identify yourself with Bank-ID to take the language test.

If you proceed to an interview, it will begin with an informational part where up to 15 people participate. Each person will then meet briefly for an individual interview. Meetings will take place on specific occasions in odd weeks.

The Health and Care Committee is politically responsible for the administration's work. Our operations involve providing care, support, and services to elderly individuals and to those in need of functional support. We also perform certain health and medical care. The vision is that our interventions should be carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

• Furulund's elderly care home
• Jonsered's elderly care home
