”Falköping Parish has about 20,000 inhabitants and 13,000 church members. About 80 employees work in various fields including parish care, administration, property, and cemetery.”

The Cemetery Administration is responsible for burial operations. Our main task is to allocate burial plots for all deceased, regardless of faith, and to ensure the best possible maintenance of our 19 cemeteries in the parish. The Cemetery Administration employs 12 permanent staff and 17 seasonal workers.

The Position

Working as a cemetery worker at the Cemetery Administration in Falköping is an exciting and varied job in a green environment with a lot of contact with people.

The work includes regular gardening tasks such as trimming and mowing grass and hedges, weeding, raking leaves, edging graves, planting and maintaining grave flowerbeds, as well as digging and shoveling materials. It also includes assisting with grave digging and urn placement.

As a cemetery worker, it is also required that you contribute to the development of the parish's cemeteries and service operations according to the cemetery manager's established goals and plans.

Requirements

• Driver's license B. The job requires movement between workplaces on public roads.
• Education in the green sector or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English - both spoken and written.
• Good physical condition - required to perform the job.
• Good knowledge of modern IT environments and smartphones.
• You contribute to a pleasant atmosphere through your personality at our workplace.
• We work a lot with environmental issues and require that you have a sound environmental mindset that you carry into your daily work.

Meritorious

• Driver's license BE
• Plant knowledge
• Certification for excavators, tool carriers, wheel loaders, chainsaws, etc.
• Valid safety training for: Work on roads
• Mowing with larger machines
• Machine knowledge and work from mobile work platforms
• IT knowledge, Teams, Office package.
• Experience working with maintenance manuals, schedules, and work orders.
