Hagaskolan in central Umeå is a F–9 school.

We have approximately 550 students and 80 educators at the school and are an inclusive and adapted operation for students with hearing impairments. Hagaskolan is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the school year, we host teacher students for their practical training, VFU. Curious about what it's like here? We are now looking for a substitute teacher for grades 4-6!

Employment form

• A substitute position, full-time, starting as soon as possible, by agreement until 2027-03-15, with the possibility of extension.

Job responsibilities

You will teach mathematics, science, Swedish, and English. You will be a mentor for students in grade 4, where you are responsible for teaching the group according to the applicable curriculum for the operation. You will work closely with your team and other educators at the school. Collaboration and teaching will also take place with other teachers in the grade.

You create good conditions for learning through clear leadership that makes teaching accessible and adaptable. As a person, you are flexible, structured, responsible, and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. Building relationships is an important part of the mission. Requirements

• Teaching certification for grades 4-6
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Experience with sign language and/or signs as support
