Our Operations

Are you passionate about women's health care, just like us? Do you dream of becoming a midwife in the future or want to work with surgical care? Then we are the department for you!

The area of women's health includes two sections, the obstetrics section and the gynecology section. Within the gynecology section, we have our care department, gynecology department 96C1, gynecological specialist clinics including the emergency gynecology department, and the reproductive center. The obstetrics section includes the delivery department, the maternity department, and obstetric specialist clinics. We have close cooperation between our different units within the area and are proud of the care we provide to our patients throughout the Healthcare Region of Central Sweden.

At gynecology department 96C1, approximately 1600 patients from the entire Healthcare Region of Central Sweden receive care each year. We are very proud to have been certified as a European center for advanced ovarian cancer surgery and operate on approximately 80-100 women with ovarian cancer each year. We also provide national highly specialized care for certain endometriosis cases where the focus is on advanced surgery. Through our emergency department, patients of all ages with various gynecological conditions come for investigation, surgery, and treatment. We have close collaboration with other units within the area of women's health and also care for certain obstetric patients.

Your Mission

As a nurse in gynecology department 96C1, you will care for patients being investigated and operated on for gynecological cancer and other gynecological diseases. You will also meet patients seeking acute gynecological care, for example, with infections or complications during early pregnancy, as well as those seeking abortion. With us, you will work in a care team with nursing assistants, doctors, and other roles.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with a general interest in women's health care and surgical care. We prefer that you have previous experience in surgical care.

You are self-sufficient and take responsibility for your tasks by driving processes forward in a structured and independent manner. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively within given time frames. You are flexible and easily adapt to changing circumstances, where you see opportunities and solutions. In collaboration with others, you are attentive, contribute to a good collaborative climate, and handle disagreements constructively. You communicate verbally in a clear, well-formulated, and engaging manner, while also listening and being receptive to others' perspectives.

We Offer

We offer a summer temporary position from June 1 to August 31 with a workload of 100%. There is a possibility for extension. The position involves rotating shifts during the day and evening. Night shifts can be discussed. Introduction will be planned individually based on your previous experiences. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
