About the company

Arje Lifting Systems AB manufactures and sells aids for heavy and ergonomically demanding work in the workshop and automotive industries, where our main products are vehicle lifts and positioners. We have a rich history that traces back to Bergqvist Mekaniska, which operated in Skelleftehamn outside Skellefteå, later becoming Arje Sweden and finally Arje Lifting Systems AB.

Your tasks

As a machine designer with us, you will play an important role in product development.

You will:

• Create construction drawings in Fusion 360 (or another 3D CAD tool – we are flexible).
• Perform technical calculations, particularly in moments and loads. You will be supported by colleagues with simpler analyses but will be responsible for more advanced components.
• Be involved in the entire product lifecycle – from idea to finished product and further to after-sales and technical support.
• Have close contact with production, which is in the same building – creating straightforward and fast communication.
• Work creatively on further development of existing products and find new solutions that broaden our range.

Some electrical design is also part of the role. Do you not have experience in that? No problem – we will ensure you learn.

Your background/Your qualities

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology, who is curious and solution-oriented – someone who sees solutions where others see problems. Of course, you appreciate good collaboration just as much as we do. With us, you do not need to be an expert in everything – but you should be versatile and eager to develop!

We believe you have:

• Post-secondary education in machinery, design, or similar.
• Experience with 3D CAD in some form.
• The ability to think in technical terms and calculate.
• Swedish in speech and writing.
• Driver's license B (travel in service may occur).

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Basic understanding of electrical design.
• English in speech and writing.
• Practical experience from production, for example in welding or machining.
• Familiarity with the Machinery Directive.
