Shop and Café Staff Wanted at Eketorp Castle Summer 2026

Do you want to work in a unique historical environment where service and meeting people are at the center? Eketorp Castle is looking for shop and café staff for the summer of 2026.

Eketorp Castle is operated by Mörbylånga Municipality and is a cultural historical destination on southern Öland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the shop and café, you are often the visitor's first contact with Eketorp Castle. You welcome guests, handle entrance tickets, and work with the sale of snacks, simple meals, and shop items. You are responsible for cash handling, serving, and ensuring that the shop and café are kept in good condition.

You assist visitors with questions about the castle and the offerings and contribute to a positive and memorable experience in a unique cultural historical environment. Common tasks with other staff include keeping the area welcoming, light cleaning, and participating in daily activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are service-oriented, responsible, and enjoy working in a team. You have a friendly demeanor, good collaboration skills, and enjoy meeting people of all ages.

English is a requirement, and other languages are a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The position is a seasonal employment during the period of June to August 2026 with work according to a schedule. There is an opportunity for extra work during spring and autumn in connection with special events. A driver's license is an asset. During the employment period, there is an option to rent accommodation near Eketorp Castle at a favorable cost. Introduction and training will take place during joint training days on June 15-16.
