The Adult Psychiatry Unit (VO) in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. All inpatient care is available in Helsingborg. The unit has 470 employees and a strong connection to Lund University and other educational institutions in the region. Our operation is classified as university healthcare, and we are constantly working to increase research connections to the operation.

The Psychosis Clinic in Helsingborg works with assessment and investigation of patients with suspected psychotic disorders, as well as treatment and follow-up of patients with known schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders. Our clinic is divided and is located in two places, Helsingborg and Ängelholm. The clinic in Helsingborg is situated in the Pålsjö area, and our clinic in Ängelholm has recently moved into new, nice premises on the hospital grounds. Both clinics have pleasant facilities and a nice surrounding environment. Our inpatient department is located adjacent to the clinic in Helsingborg. The department and clinics have a well-established care chain consisting of inpatient care, day care, intermediate care, and outpatient care. We also have a NIP team, which is a sub-team at the psychosis clinic that works across the organization with patients suspected of newly developing psychosis and is responsible for rapid intervention with a crisis and understanding perspective based on the patient and their relatives.

The clinics are very well-functioning and pleasant workplaces with competent, experienced, and dedicated staff. We who work here are a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, medical secretaries, and peer support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of specialist physician, your main tasks will be to diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established best practices. With us, you will often encounter complex and exciting care processes where your expertise has great potential to make a difference for the patient.

We work in multidisciplinary teams, where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other. Together with your team colleagues, you will ensure that patients receive the treatment and support they need to live as independently and functionally as possible, based on their own conditions and needs. We work according to the F-ACT model, and an important part is to collaborate and be a partner in integrated working methods with municipalities and other healthcare neighbors. As a physician with us, you will have great opportunities to develop both the clinic and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We are constantly striving to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience.

As we receive medical students from the basic education, you are also expected to contribute to the supervision of all levels of training physicians both at the clinic and as part of the on-call work at the clinic. Since the operation is classified as university healthcare, this means that we actively invest in both research and teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required for the position:

• You are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare.
• Specialist competence in psychiatry.
• Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.
• You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

We consider it an advantage if you:

• Are a PhD.
• Have experience in psychosis care and good familiarity with working in various support systems.

At a university healthcare unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
