About the role and your tasks

Your work is guided by the needs of individuals. A workday may consist of providing support and assistance with personal care, caregiving, medical interventions delegated by a nurse, and other assistance that the person you support needs. Documentation is done in Lifecare. Your role also includes contributing to the development of the operation and maintaining good quality.

You will work either day or evening shifts. Working hours are from 07:00 if you work days and you work until 22:45 if you work evenings. You will work every other weekend. We offer everyone to work full-time, which means 36 hours and 20 minutes a week.

With us, you have the opportunity to work in different roles. You who are a permanent care contact primarily go to the users you are responsible for. You are responsible for ensuring that the implementation plan is established and followed up. The staff group is divided into smaller divisions, with 2-3 permanent care contacts who, together with a runner, are responsible for the work with the division's users. It may occur that you also visit other users.

As a resource, you are employed in home care at Klostergården and replace colleagues who are not present. Work shifts can also be scheduled within the four areas; that is, in the home care areas of Laurentii, Södertull, and Järnåkra in central Lund. You are flexible and enjoy meeting new colleagues and working in several units.

We are looking for someone who

• is a trained nursing assistant.
• Experience in similar work, for example in elderly care, is an advantage.
• To work in home care, cycling experience is required, and in some areas, a B driver's license is also required.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required in both spoken and written form.
• You also need to have good digital skills, for example in connection with documentation.

You are responsible, committed, flexible, and attentive - with users, relatives, and colleagues. You understand how important it is for each individual to be involved and have influence over their daily life.

To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must have proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from your employer stating that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on 1/7 2023.

About the workplace

The home care of Lund Municipality is divided into several geographical areas. In each area, nursing assistants and care assistants work in teams with healthcare personnel under the leadership of a unit manager. Each area has a unit administrator and coordinator. We offer service, care, and home healthcare services around the clock to the municipality's users. Some service tasks (cleaning, laundry, and shopping) are performed during the day from Monday to Friday by a service group within each home care area. Home care Klostergården has just moved into fresh, newly renovated premises in St Lars Park. Here we have good acoustics, a spacious dining room, conference rooms, and a rest room. All care and HSL staff, offices, and administration are now under the same roof, which is a great advantage.
