The hematology section operates in both Lund and Malmö and is part of the area of operations (VO) hematology, oncology, and radiation physics with approximately 900 employees. At the outpatient clinic in Malmö, we treat patients with both malignant and benign blood disorders, and we also have other specialties such as coagulation and anticoagulation, where we care for patients with hereditary blood disorders and patients being treated with anticoagulants. Within our VO, there is also a clinical research unit that operates for both locations.

At the hematologist's day care, we currently have twelve treatment places and seven nurses working. Most have a combined role as contact and treatment nurses, one of whom also has an operational role. In addition, doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work in close collaboration. We also have access to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, and psychologists through cancer rehabilitation.

Currently, we operate between 08:00 and 16:30, Monday to Friday.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the clinic, we provide highly specialized care, and the treatments we perform range from simpler to advanced, such as chemotherapy, antibodies, and blood transfusions. In the section, we try to offer patients outpatient treatments as much as possible, and many patients also administer part of their treatments at home. We work under the principle that all patients should have a responsible physician and a contact nurse.

Here, you work closely with patients with a strong focus on patient safety, and there is a constant development of new treatment options.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Previous experience working with hematological or oncological patients is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-assured, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. In your interactions with patients, you are empathetic, a good listener, and have a strong ability to recognize patients' needs. You also have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and structure your work independently. Other important qualities are flexibility and an interest in driving improvement work and organizational development together with other team members. Personal suitability is highly valued.
