Job Responsibilities

Do you enjoy working both independently and closely with other professionals in a team? Do you have experience or a pronounced interest in children? If so, you might be the one we are looking for. We are seeking an occupational therapist for a longer temporary position focused on our outpatient care and Sachsska's assessment team.

Within the framework of our outpatient care, we receive referrals for children with diabetes, rheumatism, pain, neonatal issues, and neurodevelopmental concerns. You will meet patients individually or as part of Sachsska's specialized team. The interventions primarily involve assessment and support in fine motor skills, executive functions, and the ability to perform daily activities. To some extent, cognitive support and prescription of assistive devices are also included. Individual training may occur. The age range is broad, with children and youth between 0-20 years.

The NU team primarily assesses preschool children up to 4 years old with complex neurocognitive questions, often in combination with complicating somatic issues. In the assessment team, in addition to the occupational therapist, there are psychologists, special educators, speech therapists, pediatricians, and physiotherapists. Teamwork is key to understanding the child and enabling continued support.

You will handle a number of different diagnoses, assessment instruments, and patient contacts. You will have an inspiring work environment and knowledgeable colleagues to support you.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is confident in their role as an occupational therapist, enjoys working in a team, is curious, and wants to both develop and be developed. You have the ability to work independently and take your own initiative for learning and solutions.

Qualifications

Swedish license as an occupational therapist.

Meritorious

previous experience in assessment work with children
experience in fine motor assessments (preferably with PDMS and/or BOT2)
master's degree and/or supervisor training
