About the "client company"

DFDS Logistics Services AB, a transport company within the automotive industry located in Arendal. The company operates around the clock, six days a week, and employs approximately 250 full-time staff. The vehicle fleet includes about 300 vehicles, of which 80 are trucks and 220 are trailers.

About the position

As a traffic planner at DFDS Logistics Services AB, you will work in an operational role responsible for daily planning and management of transport within the trucking operations in Arendal. The role involves covering for the regular traffic planners as needed, primarily during sick leave, vacations, and the summer period.

The position is part-time (40–60%) and the working hours are mainly during the day. The length of assignments can vary, but there may be periods where you work several weeks in a row. You will be part of an experienced team in a business that operates around the clock, six days a week, with a comprehensive vehicle fleet consisting of both trucks and trailers.

The assignment is a hiring, with the possibility of takeover later on. DFDS is looking for 1–2 people who can work extra and be available at relatively short notice. Training will take place on-site and is expected to last about 14 weeks.

About you

We are looking for someone who thrives in a varied role where the pace can change quickly.

You are confident in your communication and can speak equally well with drivers as with colleagues. We place great importance on your personal attitude and your ability to solve problems that arise along the way. You should have a good basic understanding of logistics and be comfortable using a computer as a working tool.

The role is perfect for you who are studying logistics/transport and want to work extra, or for you who have reached retirement age but miss the pulse of the industry. We also welcome other applicants who have another main occupation and want the opportunity to work extra as needed.

Mobile consultant:

You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work out at our clients. Being a mobile consultant means that you are employed by us DFDS Professionals to perform work at client companies, and your workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing and placement may occur before the application deadline.
