Kosterlinjen (formerly Torghatten AB) will take over operational responsibility for passenger ferries between Strömstad–Kosteröarna (as well as Styrsö–Öddö) from September 2026. The ferry traffic is part of Molslinjen, which together with Torghatten forms part of Nordic Ferry Infrastructure (NFI). The launch of Kosterlinjen is carried out in cooperation between Torghatten and Molslinjen, on behalf of Västtrafik.

We are now looking for an Able Seaman (A/B) for our traffic in the Koster and Strömstad area. As an Able Seaman, you are an important part of the daily operations on board. In this role, you contribute to ensuring a safe, efficient, and pleasant journey for our passengers – from quay to quay.

In the role, you work closely with passengers, colleagues, and the vessel, ensuring that passengers board and disembark in a safe and smooth manner.

The work also includes supervision of the vessel and deck, where you contribute to order, cleaning, and minor maintenance. You help ensure a good working environment and a high standard on board – both regarding safety and passenger experience.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Guiding during loading and handling of cargo, bicycles, and luggage.
• Contributing to good service and providing information to travelers.
• Participating in bunkering, charging, and other port-related tasks.
• Collaborating with colleagues on board and the shore organization for safe and efficient traffic operations.

Formal requirements

• Valid medical certificate for seafarers (Blue Book).
• Basic Safety (STCW).
• Qualification as an Able Seaman.
