IT Technician and Service Employee

We are now looking for an engaged and service-oriented IT technician and service employee on-site for our internal customer service and our team for Digital Workplace and support. The position is located in Östersund.

You will be part of the internal customer service function Bikupan, where you will share tasks with colleagues in Digital Workplace and with staff from the Service Unit. Together, you will daily receive and handle internal inquiries from the employees of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, both within IT and in other administrative support and service areas.

You play an important role in ensuring a stable, secure, and well-functioning IT environment. The work is varied and combines technical support with administrative and practical tasks.

The nature of the work requires flexibility, humility, and the ability to collaborate. You share responsibility for the division of labor in the group and actively contribute to good cooperation.

The role involves a number of trips per year to our Stockholm office.

Responsibilities

As an onsite IT technician / IT support, you will among other things:

  • Provide technical support on-site to the agency's employees
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to clients, mobile devices, meeting room technology, printers, networks, and peripherals
  • Install and configure computers, mobile phones, and other IT equipment according to the agency's guidelines
  • Manage cases in the case management system
  • Collaborate with internal IT functions and external IT providers
  • Participate in rollouts, upgrades, and other IT projects
  • Issue and administer access cards
  • Administer and provide support in various internal systems, such as for digital signing, survey tools, conference invitations, purchasing, invoice management, time reporting, and travel booking.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school education with an IT focus or equivalent competence
  • Experience working with IT support, for example as an IT technician or in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
  • Good knowledge of managing mobile devices
  • Good knowledge of meeting room technology
  • Experience with Active Directory and case management systems
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious

  • Experience working in the public sector
  • Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks
  • Experience with SCCM, Intune, or other client management tools
  • Knowledge of GDPR, the principle of public access, and data protection regulations

You work in a structured way, have good order around you, and can plan and prioritize your work effectively.

You are communicative and pedagogical, with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear and understandable way. At the same time, you are solution-oriented and humble, and do not hesitate to take on both practical and administrative tasks when required by the business.

To thrive in the role, you need to be self-sufficient and confident in handling cases on your own, while also enjoying working in a team. You appreciate being physically present at the workplace and see meeting users as a natural and important part of your work.
