The Digitalization Department is a strategic key function that drives the region's digital development forward. We are responsible for the entirety of IT operations and IT development, system management, and medical technology – ensuring that the operations have stable, modern, and appropriate digital solutions that support both care and administration.

With about 60 dedicated employees, we are organized into four specialized units:

• Digital Development
• Digital Workplace
• IT Infrastructure and Security
• Medical Technology

Together, we form a broad and competent force that combines technology, operational understanding, and development capability.

We are located in centrally placed premises directly at Östersund Hospital, with Medical Technology located inside the hospital to provide quick and close service to healthcare operations.

Our strategy is based on combining internal expertise with the strengths of the market. Therefore, we primarily procure services for IT operations, management, development, and medical technology from external actors – and ensure through professional governance that the region receives high quality, good cost control, and future-proof solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Region Jämtland Härjedalen is facing an exciting digital development journey. We are now looking for an enterprise architect who wants to help build our architecture function from the ground up. As an enterprise architect, you will play a key role in developing the region's business, information, application, and technical architecture. You will work both strategically and operationally: one day you support the business in urgent needs, the next day you develop target architectures and roadmaps that shape the region's digital development in the long term.

This is a role for you who thrive in an environment where much is undone and where you have a significant influence over how the work should be structured.

Your main responsibilities:

• Establish and develop the region's architectural framework, principles, and working methods.
• Develop and manage target architectures and long-term roadmaps.
• Work closely with the business to understand needs, processes, and challenges.
• Support projects and initiatives with architectural expertise and guidance.
• Visualize complex relationships and create clarity in decisions.
• Contribute to building a cohesive architecture function together with colleagues in digitalization and operations.
• Balance short-term solutions with long-term strategic choices.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience in enterprise architecture in larger organizations, preferably in the public sector or complex operations.
• Has a good understanding of business development, information management, application landscape, and technical infrastructure.
• Is accustomed to working with or based on established frameworks but also comfortable adapting and building new where needed.
• Thrives in an environment where structures and working methods are being established.
• Has the ability to communicate clearly and build trust throughout the organization.
• Is analytical, curious, and has an easy time seeing wholes and connections.
• Has a relevant academic education or equivalent experience.

Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
