About the workplace
At the Resource Unit, you are welcomed into a positive and development-oriented environment. Our unit serves as Region Västmanland's internal staffing unit and provides personnel to workplaces that temporarily need help due to absence or demand. We step in where it is needed the most, and that is what makes the job so exciting. No day is like the other. We have nurses, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries working with us.
You will join a workplace with good cohesion where you, as an employee, are important to us. As an employee, you will receive regional delegations in eight areas. These areas include NEWS checks, venous sampling, capillary sampling, tube feeding, EKG, catheterization of the bladder, patient ID marking, and care of tracheostomy. After six months, and once the requirements for training and delegations have been met, a salary supplement will be provided.

Job Responsibilities
Working as an assistant nurse/care assistant at the Resource Unit means flexible work, where you work in different departments and clinics. Assignments vary from single-day work to longer assignments with the same client. Some days you will have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from the Resource Unit. We have a fixed rolling schedule, where you partially have the opportunity to influence how you want to work.
We primarily work at the hospital in Västerås within somatic and psychiatric care, but also have assignments at the hospitals in Fagersta, Sala, and Köping. We welcome applicants from these areas as well.
With us, you will be offered a training package consisting of both e-learning and practical training such as delegations in sampling, tube feeding, and more. Together, we will develop the introduction you need to feel secure in your role. As an employee with us, you will also participate in the Resource Unit's regular workplace meetings and planning days.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a recognized assistant nurse education and has obtained proof of protected professional title. You also need to have at least one year of experience in the profession. Experience working in emergency care and psychiatric care is an advantage. We also see it as a benefit if you have experience or knowledge in our delegation areas and have worked in the Cosmic journal system. You need to have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is a prerequisite for ensuring patient-safe care. Since the work can be physically demanding at times, we expect you to be in good physical condition.
We are looking for someone who is secure and stable, both in your professional role and as a person. To thrive with us, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy working with varied tasks and in different operations. The job requires the ability to remain calm and focused even in stressful situations. You are self-sufficient, reliable, and express a positive attitude towards work and the organization. Since we often work in teams, we see that you have a good ability to collaborate and communicate with others in a responsive manner. You have an empathetic and professional approach to patients, relatives, and colleagues.

Employment: Permanent employment, temporary or hourly employment
Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend

If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will be invited to answer some video questions. After you have answered the video questions, you will be contacted if you proceed to an interview. In connection with the interview, a work sample will also be conducted as part of the recruitment process. Interviews are planned to take place on-site at the Region House, entrance 4, in Västerås during week 7 and week 8 on Friday, February 13, Thursday, February 19, and Friday, February 20. We apply work samples in connection with the interview.
