Job Responsibilities

You will work in our midwifery team alongside two experienced colleagues. As a midwife with us, you will perform standard tasks within maternal and women's health care, including pregnancy check-ups, group parental support, contraceptive counseling, gynecological cytology, STI information and health advice, telephone counseling, various vaccination assignments, and other tasks that may arise within the organization.

Unique to Närvården Sala Väsby is that we have the assignment to receive all women residing in Sala, not just those who are registered with us.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-operated health centers in Västmanland and the health centers' emergency clinics in Västmanland are run as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. We have a common name, Närvården Västmanland, and we work together to provide our patients with the best primary care in the county. We continuously invest in the development of our workplaces to meet the future needs of primary care.

Närvården Sala Väsby is a well-established health center with a strong forward-thinking approach. The health center is part of a new healthcare building that also includes Sala local hospital and several other clinics. We are responsible for over 13,100 registered patients, and our unit includes consultations with doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, as well as maternal and child health care. We also have a branch clinic in Västerfärnebo.

The health center is located near train and bus stations and offers free parking for staff adjacent to the workplace.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a licensed midwife with prescribing rights. MI training or other equivalent education is an advantage for the position. We also value experience in parental education and if you have previous experience working in primary care,
• have experience with the Cosmic and Obstetrix journal systems that we use in our daily work and you master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form,
• are secure and stable in your profession, empathetic, and have an easy time collaborating with others,
• appreciate meetings with women of all ages and life stages,
• are well-structured in your work, take responsibility for your tasks, and contribute to a positive work climate.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date in May or by agreement.

Requirement for a B driver's license.
