Assistant Nurse to the Dermatology Clinic

We are now looking for an assistant nurse for a temporary position - are you the one we are looking for?
Job Responsibilities
As an assistant nurse here at the dermatology clinic, you will, in addition to regular reception work, assist with various doctor appointments and surgical consultations. You will also work with wound care and other treatments for various skin diseases. You will collaborate with other assistant nurses, nurses, and doctors in a team and meet patients of all ages.
About the Workplace
The Dermatology Clinic is responsible for the care and nursing of patients with dermatological and venereological diseases in Region Västmanland. Patients with various skin diseases are referred to the clinic for diagnostics and treatment. At the venereology clinic, patients are diagnosed and treated for sexually transmitted diseases. The clinic employs 34 staff members with various professional categories, including doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, social workers, and administrative staff. Currently, we have 8 assistant nurses.
We work in beautiful and renovated premises in the old hospital, now the Region House.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained assistant nurse with previous experience in the profession. Experience with the Cosmic journal system and wound care is highly meritorious. It is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as we document in Cosmic and have a lot of patient contact.
Personal qualities and skills are important to us. We are looking for someone who is stable and secure in their professional role. Since teamwork is important to us, we see that you have the ability to work with others, but also that you are structured and can work well independently. The work at the clinic is varied and not always predictable, which is why flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are good qualities to have to thrive in this role with us. Employment Conditions
Temporary position for 6 months full-time with possible extension.
The work at the clinic takes place during the day, Monday to Friday. Start date to be agreed upon.
Location: Västerås.

Information on Protected Job Title
As of July 1, 2023, the title of assistant nurse became a protected job title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of assistant nurse within healthcare and social services. If you do not have a certificate, you can work in healthcare and social services, but with the title of care assistant.
