At Norlandia Elderly Care, we are looking for a nurse who wants to work full-time/part-time or hourly during all or part of the summer at our nursing homes in Västerås. Would you like to be part of our team this summer? Then you are warmly welcome to submit your application!

As a nurse within Norlandia Elderly Care, you are a valuable key person responsible for ensuring that our residents' health and medical care needs are met. An important part of the job is also to support, guide, and educate other care staff and be a good role model for your colleagues.

You work with care in everything you do with great personal responsibility and have the ability to prioritize and lead others even in changing circumstances. Flexibility and collegial collaboration are of great importance in the assignment.

In Västerås, Norlandia operates 8 nursing homes: Hagaäng, Björkbacken, Hökåsen, Daggrosen, and Ängsklockan on the eastern side of the city. Vedbo, Mälarhem, and Fatburen on the western side. All homes are operated under the auspices of Västerås municipality.

As a summer substitute at Norlandia, you will have access to Cappy – an app that gives you real-time insights into working hours and salary. You can see preliminary salary and how extra shifts affect your salary, can withdraw up to 50% of earned salary if needed (hourly employees; 29 SEK/withdrawal, no credit/interest), and gain access to training in personal finance.

Additionally, you should find it easy to collaborate with others and have a good ability to adapt your communication based on your audience. As a nurse in elderly care, you will have the opportunity to take significant personal responsibility, which requires both professional skill, prioritization ability, and flexibility.

• We are looking for a licensed nurse.

• It is an advantage if you have previous experience as a nurse in elderly care.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

• We would like you to have good computer skills and system knowledge.

Employment type: Summer substitute

Scope: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment

Start date: June, July, and August 2026, or by agreement.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
