Job Responsibilities

As a psychologist with us at the child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic in Köping, you will be part of a well-functioning team where we work interdisciplinary together from different professions. The work includes conducting neuropsychiatric assessments, making evaluations, providing treatment for children and adolescents as well as guardians with varying psychiatric issues, and also participating in the development work of the organization.

We have close collaboration with, for example, schools, social services, and other healthcare partners.

About the workplace

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Västmanland (BUP) is a specialist resource for children and adolescents aged 0-18 and their families. The operations are conducted in outpatient clinics in Köping, Västerås, Sala, and Fagersta. Regional resources are available in Västerås with inpatient care places, eating disorder units, and emergency reception. Our goal is to provide care tailored to each child's specific needs. We work based on evidence and proven experience and are characterized by a health-promoting approach.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist, and it is an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession as well as experience from psychiatry. The role requires that you have experience in treatment and assessment work. Since you will need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. Good IT skills are also necessary for the role.

We see that you are a secure, stable person with good self-awareness. You collaborate well with others as well as having a good ability to structure your work and drive it forward. You are a person who can adapt to changing circumstances and who takes initiative, starts activities, and achieves results. In the role, it is important to be able to make correct assessments and priorities and have a good ability to weigh complex information and different types of considerations and show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions.
