ABOUT THE POSITION

Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in the country. Here, if you have an interest in electricity and nuclear power, you have a unique opportunity to develop as a reactor safety engineer in the electrical field. This position is aimed at those who see themselves building a career in nuclear power and developing at Forsmark.

In this role, your focus will be on safety review. You will belong to a group of 12-13 people, of which 2-3 work with safety review. You will also have contact with other groups working on safety review within the unit, but in other areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

Analysis and reading: You will familiarize yourself with complex technical documentation regarding electrical systems to understand proposed changes or existing constructions.
Identification of safety issues: With a critical eye, you will identify potential safety risks and analyze how different electrical engineering solutions affect reactor safety as a whole.
Collaboration and dialogue: Safety work is a team effort. You will continuously discuss technical questions with relevant parties and experts to get a comprehensive view of the dependencies of the systems.
Review and report writing: You will compile your conclusions in written review reports where you clearly formulate comments and any requirements for actions.
Quality assurance through engagement: You will drive the dialogue with those responsible for the documentation to ensure a mutual understanding of your comments and that they are addressed correctly.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a Master's degree in electrical engineering, technical physics, or energy systems
Has good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

The position is security classified, which means that a security screening will be conducted before employment. The security screening includes a background check and a security interview in accordance with the Security Protection Act. In addition to the security screening, a drug test will be conducted.
