JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a personal assistant, you provide support and service according to the user's individual needs and wishes as outlined in the implementation plans. You perform everyday, planned support interventions and activities together with the user. The support interventions should promote the user's integrity, participation, and are carried out with respect for the user's self-determination.

The user's needs should be at the center. The user should receive support and the right to decide over their life and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible. The work is based on a pedagogical and motivating approach in close collaboration with the user's network and other staff.

Working hours may be scheduled for days, evenings, and night shifts based on different users' decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is desirable that you have education in care and nursing, e.g., high school's Care and Nursing program or the Child and Recreation program with a focus on disabilities or social work. Knowledge/experience of intellectual disabilities, autism, and knowledge/experience of challenging behavior and low-arousal responses are meritorious.

You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability in relation to the care recipient.

It is important that you are solution-focused and can work independently. You are responsible, reliable, and skilled at building good relationships, while also supporting the user to ensure they have a good everyday life.

Since solo work occurs, you need to be comfortable with it.

Computer skills are a requirement as all documentation is done digitally.

A driver's license for a manual transmission and access to your own car is required, as you may work outside the central area and in some cases use the user's car.
