Håstensskolan is currently a school for grades 6-9 but will in the future become a K-9 school. The school is located in the Varberg locality and in an area close to the municipality's large sports facilities and a newly built youth center. Currently, we have about 430 students.

From the autumn term of 2025, Håstensskolan will move into a completely new school building, which is a significant upgrade for students, teachers, and other staff. The new school is built as a K-9 school, as well as for adapted primary school. This autumn, we will have about 720 students in grades 2-9, as well as about 90 students within the framework of adapted primary school.

Our educators work collegially on teaching development in several different areas to adjust their teaching to provide as much benefit as possible for the students. Our goal is to be a school accessible to all students where they can develop as far as possible towards both social and academic goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teacher for Lovskolan Varberg school year 2025-2026!

Teaching and coaching will take place in the subjects of English, mathematics, Swedish, and Swedish as a second language on all days of the holiday school. The assignment includes teaching, preparation and follow-up work, conducting special examinations, evaluation, and administrative tasks related to the holiday school's operations. Your assignment also includes contact and planning with the students' regular teachers.

The teaching for the school year 2025-2026 will be scheduled:

• Tuesday-Thursday, February 17-19
• Tuesday-Thursday, April 7-9
• Monday-Thursday, June 15-18
• Monday-Thursday, June 22-25

Working hours: 07:45 AM - 04:00 PM including lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be qualified and certified to teach mathematics, English, Swedish, and Swedish as a second language in grades 8 and 9 of primary school.

We see that you who are applying for a position in Swedish and Swedish as a second language have a focus on language and literacy development and broad experience in teaching Swedish as a second language.

You should be able to create good relationships through curiosity and have trust in our students. You should also have high expectations and great confidence in the students' abilities, as well as a supportive and encouraging approach.

Salary:

For employees within Varberg Municipality with seasonal employment, according to appendix M, and monthly salaried employees, 200% of the daily calendar salary is paid per extra A-day. Extra A-days are February 17-19, 2026, April 7-9, 2026, June 17-18, 2026, and June 22-25, 2026.

The fee compensation for non-employees in Varberg Municipality is 1900 SEK per day.
