About us

The outpatient clinics for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine (BUM) offer specialist care for children and young people up to 18 years old who do not require hospitalization. Within the clinics, we collaborate across unit boundaries. We investigate, treat, and follow up on allergies, asthma, intestinal diseases, epilepsy, urinary tract infections, and growth issues. Certain developmental disorders and psychosomatic problems are also treated.

BUM Viskan has a catchment area of approximately 33,000 children living in Borås, Bollebygd, Ulricehamn, and Tranemo. Our clinic is centrally located in Borås with good transport links, making it easy to get here. With us, children and young people, from newborns up to 18 years old, receive the care and attention they need. We are a competent team with various professions working together for the best interests of children and families.

We are now facing a change as one of our medical secretaries is retiring and another is moving on to a new position. Therefore, we are looking for two new colleagues who want to be part of our dedicated team.

About the job

As a medical secretary with us, you have a central and important role in the daily work. You will encounter a wide range of illnesses and patients of all ages, making the work both varied and stimulating. You will be one of four medical secretaries at the clinic and will play a central role in the team.

Your tasks will be varied and include reception work, mail handling, bookings, referral management, healthcare documentation, handling of 1177 cases, and other administrative tasks that keep the operations running.

The operations mainly consist of planned care, but we also offer occasional emergency appointments for the very youngest. At the clinic, pediatricians, pediatric nurses, psychologists, dietitians, and medical secretaries work together. We collaborate closely with social services, school health services, BUP, BUH, hospitals, health centers, and BVC – where we act as both a referral agency and a competence support.

We care about our employees and a good working environment. Team spirit and collaboration between different professional groups are a given with us. We offer regular training meetings and an introduction tailored to your previous experiences. Working hours are during the daytime, Monday to Friday.

About you

We are looking for someone with training in healthcare documentation and good IT skills. Experience with the journal system Asynja Visph, digital bookings, and work as a medical secretary is an advantage. You master medical terminology and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

As a person, you are positive, service-oriented, and solution-focused. You are also flexible, enjoy new challenges, and easily build good relationships. Furthermore, you have a genuine commitment to the operations and a willingness to contribute where needed. You are a team player with strong collaboration skills and engagement, contributing to a working environment characterized by well-being and good treatment. Conditions

Both positions are permanent, at either 80% or 100%, by agreement. Please indicate which employment rate you are interested in during the selection questions.
