Property Caretaker for Skara and Götene

The Property Service Department is responsible for the property holdings, cleaning, management, and project planning of Skara and Götene municipalities, which includes schools, preschools, sports facilities, and municipal administrative buildings totaling approximately 210,000 square meters of floor space.

The Work Involves

We are now looking for a property caretaker to be placed in Skara and Götene, where the work as a property caretaker is versatile and varied.

The tasks mainly consist of performing repairs after fault reports, supervision/maintenance, preventive maintenance, outdoor environment care, snow and ice control, and ensuring that the properties give a well-maintained impression. The work also involves the maintenance of heating, electrical, fire, and ventilation systems, as well as control and monitoring systems. The job involves a lot of contacts both internally and externally, including with other departments and various suppliers and contractors.

Digital work tasks such as invoice management, accounting, and handling work orders are part of the job. You have both technical and economic awareness and understand and apply a professional and service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need to have property caretaker training or equivalent experience assessed by the employer. We also prefer that you have good knowledge in plumbing and electrical work.

• Computer skills
• Driver's license B (manual)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

It is advantageous if you also have: SBA work, facility caretaker for fire alarms and sprinklers, hot work, lift training

• Experience with machinery such as tool carriers, tractors, etc.
• Control and regulation systems
