I have Dravet syndrome, which is a difficult-to-treat epilepsy. Unfortunately, I am extremely sensitive to infections, and a common cold can make me very ill.

I mostly enjoy being at home with my family and dogs, which will be the assistant's workplace. I have an interest in playing music and watching my iPad, painting pictures, and watching DVDs. There is also a strong interest in shopping.

As a personal assistant, you will help with everything that may arise in daily life, such as dressing and personal care.

You will function as an extension of my arms and legs. I sit in a wheelchair and need help with transfers, so you as an assistant need to be in good physical shape.

Additionally, feeding through a tube, feeding, and some medication management are included. You will stimulate activity and slow down activity if needed, as I have a low threshold for seizures and also poor impulse control. I understand everything that is said, but I have difficulty expressing myself in conventional speech. I use my own words and expressions mixed with “normal” words, so you need to help and support me in communicating.

For this position, you are required to have:

- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written - A driver's license - Good and strong physical condition

It is an advantage if you have:

- Care education or similar experience from previous work is advantageous but not a requirement. During the training period, you will learn the medical aspects that are required, such as tube feeding and some medication management as well as blood sugar monitoring.

Personal suitability weighs the heaviest.

Working hours and employment rate:

Daytime Sundays from 8 AM to 4 PM. There is some flexibility in time and number of Sundays per month, and a weekday can be offered instead.
