About the Position

The position is a combined role as a support assistant at Båstadvägen group home and as a personal assistant to a woman in her 50s.

Båstadvägen is a group home within LSS located in Våxtorp in Laholm Municipality. Currently, there are 4 residents at Båstadvägen with varying needs for support. As a new employee at Båstadvägen, you will be warmly welcomed by a caring and empathetic team that values both residents and colleagues.

Your tasks involve providing support and service to residents based on decided interventions, which may include personal care, activities, and household chores, establishing and working from implementation plans, performing health and medical care tasks, introducing and mentoring new staff, and carrying out other tasks that may arise in the workplace. Work at Båstadvägen involves working days, evenings, and night shifts, weekdays as well as weekends. As staff, you need to have a strong commitment and a desire to create the best conditions for the residents. It is important that the work is carried out with great respect for the resident's integrity and that you as an employee can create conditions for the resident's independence and participation. Collaborating to implement interventions and activities is fundamental at Båstadvägen.

The tasks as a personal assistant involve supporting and helping the resident in their daily life both at home and during activities outside the home, enabling the resident to continue living a meaningful and active life with a fulfilling daily routine. As a personal assistant, you will support the resident with personal care, transfers, activities, and provide support during daily activities. You will perform delegated health and medical care tasks. You will be involved in establishing implementation plans and follow-ups and will report and document in our support systems. It is crucial to establish good contacts with relatives and other important individuals for the resident and to contribute with innovative ideas and joy at work. You will work independently, and your working hours are currently scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

Are you a reliable and empathetic person who is genuinely interested in people? If you find it easy to collaborate, take initiative, and also work independently, you could be our new employee. Since there is a significant amount of delegated health and medical care, it is a requirement that you are a certified nursing assistant.

If you have other education/competence in disability support, low-arousal approaches, MI, pedagogy, or similar, it is an advantage.

We prefer that you have worked for a few years in LSS operations or other care and support services. For the position, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also need to have basic computer skills.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
