Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
The health and medical care unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and older who need health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and regular housing.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with Ystad's residents within the municipal primary care. You will perform standard occupational therapy tasks with a clear focus on individual needs to create the best possible quality and independence in daily life.
You will be part of a cross-professional team where the work is characterized by a patient-centered approach. A central part of the assignment is to conduct individual functional and activity assessments, plan, design, and follow up on rehabilitation efforts - in close collaboration with the patient, relatives, and other staff.
The role also includes prescribing medical technical aids.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for guidance, instruction, and advice to patients, relatives, and staff to ensure a safe and secure implementation of interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist with good knowledge of both regional and municipal health and medical care. You have experience in the profession, which is a requirement for the position. If you also have experience working in multi-professional teams, we see it as an advantage, as well as if you have knowledge of and interest in future development and change work within the care and welfare sector.
The assignment includes working both independently and in collaboration with other professionals. You are expected to make your own decisions, make professional assessments, and take responsibility for your tasks. The work requires attentiveness, flexibility, and good collaboration skills, as you will meet patients with varying needs and life situations.
You have good computer skills and experience in documentation. The position also requires you to hold a B driver's license and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
