The hospital in Ystad is an emergency hospital that provides a wide range of specialized care, both acute and planned. Around the clock, we offer health and medical care with quality and accessibility, a holistic view, and compassion as our hallmarks. Annually, we perform approximately 5,000 surgeries, of which one-third are emergency surgeries. We plan to increase our capacity and efficiency as we are currently undergoing a major renovation to improve the work environment and logistics, so we can meet future needs.

The surgical operations consist of general surgery, gynecology, urology, ear, nose, and throat, as well as orthopedics. Our patients span a wide age range, from children to older adults. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for specialist nurses with a focus on anesthesia.

As an anesthesiologist, you work in a team within perioperative care. You also participate in alarms and go on transports. We offer a stimulating job with varying procedures. We have five operating rooms in central surgery and a day surgery operating room in another building. The acute operations consist of a mix of procedures such as orthopedics, surgery/urology, and cesarean sections. We have a preoperative department, anesthesiologist reception, and some staffing of the recovery department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You are an educated specialist nurse with a focus on anesthesia care. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are a requirement. We prefer that you have at least two years of experience as an anesthesiologist.
